Detailed tour description
Your driver will be waiting for you at the agreed meeting point and you are off on your shore excursion to Phuket today.
You will start your trip today with a panoramic drive along the picturesque coast of the island. Of course, a viewpoint with a breathtaking view over the Andaman Sea and the islands off the coast is a must on an island tour. You will have fantastic views on your first stop at Picturesque cape. The southernmost point of Phuket is reached via a winding coastal road. From the viewpoint there you have a wonderful view of the sea and the entire coast. From here you can also admire the elephant shrine. The religious site, which lies openly in the penumbra under trees, is dedicated to the god Brahma. The believers who come here to ask for Brahma’s help bring elephant statues, all of which are placed in a large circle around the altar. A truly remarkable sight! You also have a great view from picturesque cape to Nai Harn Beach, a beautiful sandy beach. Nai Harn Beach is a beautiful white beach with soft sand, situated between green hills and small islands in the south of Phuket. The approx. 720 meters long protected bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket and is a popular bathing beach.
After so much scenic beauty you visit the largest and most significant temple of Phuket, the Wat Chalong. In the magnificent Buddhist temple, the statues of two monks are especially revered, who were famous for their medical knowledge, healing herbs and clairvoyant abilities. The temple complex is quite extensive and consists of several buildings. Particularly worth seeing are the main temple, in which statues of the venerated monks are located, a large Chedi with a high point as well as numerous Buddha statues and beautiful wall paintings.
The last stop on your half-day island tour is the Shell Museum, where you can admire more than 2,000 different species of shells from all over the world as well as ancient fossils. In perhaps the most valuable collection of shells in the world, you will find native shells as well as shells from all over the world. You will have plenty of time to stroll through the museum on your own. All shells are lovingly arranged in showcases and even marked according to the country of origin. The stars of the exhibition are a giant golden pearl (140 carats) and a shell weighing an incredible 250 kg.
After your visit to the museum, you will be brought back to the harbour relaxed.
