You will meet your driver and tour guide at the agreed meeting point and start your shore excursion in the surroundings of Åndalsnes.
From the port of Åndalsnes you can take a bus to Europe’s highest vertical rock face, the Trollveggen. Do not forget to look behind you, because there you will find the famous Romsdalshornet. After a photo stop of about 15 minutes, the real adventure begins.
The bus will take you to the famous Trollstigen mountain pass, which was built in 1936 with 11 serpentine curves and attracts around 500,000 people each summer during the short summer months. The Troll Road is surrounded by the three mountains of the King, the Queen and the Bishop. The large waterfall Stigfossens, which falls down between the serpentines, makes the ascent or descent a special experience. At the end of the Trollstigen you will enjoy another break on the plateau Trollstigen. Here you will find a restaurant, toilets, a souvenir shop and a path that will lead you to both platforms. Enjoy the breathtaking views over the valley, the steeply winding street Trollstigen, the Stigfossen and the surrounding mountains.
On the way back to the pier, you will once again have time to enjoy the breathtaking view before your tour guide takes you back to your cruise ship.
